Isabel Santos is freelance animator, director, and illustrator from Queens, New York. She loves absurd comedy, weird drawings, hand-drawn animation, and art education. Isabel earned her BFA in animation from the Rhode Island School of Design and is currently earning her MFA in experimental animation from the California Institute for the Arts. She works independently, creating and directing her own animated shorts, and commercially as a freelance animator and designer. Isabel's independent work has screened internationally with Centre Pompidou in Paris as well as domestically. Most recently, she co-wrote an episodic series for Adult Swim Smalls with her collaborator Pilar Garcia-Fernandezesma.
